In line 40 of the tempest rhetoric is displayed during the boatswain and noblemens fighting about the boatswain’s competency. In the quote, “Yet again? What do you here? Shall we give o’er and drown? Have you a mind to sink?SEBASTIAN. A pox o’ your throat, you bawling, 40 blasphemous, incharitable dog!BOATSWAIN. Work you then.ANTONIO. Hang, cur!12hang, you whoreson, insolent noise maker! We are less afraid to be drown’d than thou art.”(Shakespeare, the tempest 40) the Boatswain is using logos as he says it is logical that if the noblemen are going to stay they may as well help. The noble men attempt to belittle the boatswain to show their superiority. They use Pathos to show why they should be able to do whatever they want.
At the winter formal me and my friends were arguing over weather we should get food or just go home. I utilized pathos in saying, it would be more fun if we hung out instead of just going home. My friend stated that if we go home, we can wake up in time for chiloso and not be tired. This utilized logos as we like chiloso breakfast more than anything available at 11:00 pm. Logically we chose to go home.

Two friends are arguing over if they should get queso on their tacos. One argued that queso is horrible for you and that the other was lactose intolerant. The other stated that queso is delishouls and the short term happiness of eating it far outweighs the consequences.
