Proposals create a different sense of persuasion compared to a paper. Papers are meant to persuade others to agree with points or ideas the writer has. On the contrary Proposals are meant to people to give support or services towards your cause. Papers focus more on the academic side of rhetoric as they mainly center their points on sources and logic. Proposals use sources and logic but also can include emotion much more effectively as you are attempting to get someone to give you something not just to help them form an opinion. Emotion is better suited for proposals as the target audience is more clear and much easier to cater to as most times the readers are known prior to writing. This allows the writer to directly target the readers emotions to garner support for their cause.
I’ve noticed rhetoric in conversations between me and my mom. she argued that i should wear gloves to work as it would help keep me and others safe. I countered with the fact that we cant find disposable gloves so the only option would be to wear the same ones all day. That would defeat the purpose of gloves as i wash my hands but you cant wash gloves. Therefore we both agreed that i should not wear gloves.

some people are using logic very frequently around me, my family and friends are staying indoors and mostly reaminging quarantined. However customers at my job are a different story.Many times i’ve seen people take the receipt i hand them, put it down and then immediately begin touching their face or eating. This is the opposite of what every heath and government official has been saying for the past 2 months. They a employing zero though into their actions and are the reason this disease keeps spreading. People who won’t listen to the news and the government and in many cases their own friends and family are the problem.
