One of my sources is a prezi about the theme of justice in the tempest. Usually this would be seen as non-credible source however it establishes the readers trust through the use of ethos. The writers doesn’t show her own opinion prevalently but focuses of dissecting and analyzing major points of the play. This also establishes a more academic tone to the piece which further adds to its credibility. Finally she utilizes quotes to draw the source back to the original material.
I utilized rhetoric monday afternoon me and a coworker were discussing where to eat i suggested that we get chiloso as then we can have more time to eat and their chicken quesadillas are really good. This established both as logical and emotional appeal as good food is always going to be emotionally enticing,and having more time is logical as we wouldn’t have to rush. My friend countered that golden chick has faster service and is cheaper. This applies to logic and emotion as he countered my time argument and knows that spending money makes me sad. In the end we split up and ate alone.
The quarantine is weighing on everyone emotionally. Driving past signs telling you to stay home on the way to work where you will most likely get infected is extremely disheartening. the entire idea of quarantine in fact is disheartening for many the emotional connections they have with friends are integral to their own mental health. I can see my own friends beginning to cut themselves off from each other as they fear they won’t be able to retain their relationships during the coming months and after this is over.
