The source Prospero And The Triumph Of Reason–Shakespeare’s Tempest argues that prosperos transformation was less of a change in character and more of a realization. The source argues that prospero is a “thinking man” applying to logic by explaining how he came to his realization. The author states, “the play emerged wordy, and rational–an almost intellectual account of Prospero’s struggles.” which exemplifies how propero thinks and should have made a decision.
I noticed rhetoric this week at my job. My superior was explaining a change in position, and argued that he believed I had what it took to work at the desk and manage orders. He told our boss that I had picked up all of the paperwork very fast with little instruction and worked well on the phone. Both examples apply to logic as if I can already do the tasks needed then I’m a very good candidate. Our boss countered with the fact the I have little experience and that I needed to have more customer service experience. I countered with the fact that I had worked the summer at a kayaking business where I gained experience in customer service. It was decided that I would be further trained and would start working at the desk.
Covid-19 is affecting my friends very hard. They have all found new ways to spend time with each other through the internet. Some have started a movie club there they zoom call and watch a movie every night. Others have done quarantine trunk circles, or began playing xbox again in order to have fun and talk with each other. I personally have been reaching out to my friends and facetiming them to see how they are and to reconnect.
