Week 14

I learned a lot this semester, I believe I evolved both as a reader and writer. Through the reading of shakespeare and hamilton I think I developed my skill of interpretation to a much more fine tuned, academic and analytical style. My writing has also developed a great amount. I took a look back at the writing at the start of the year and even the start of the year and saw a massive improvement in my academic style as well as my wording and choice in quotes. I think this was overall successful semester as I improved immensely. I think I can still work on my writing as a whole and adding more flow to my writing as a whole.

My mom and I were arguing over if I would be allowed to go to a rope swing by my house. I argued that I swam on swim team for 4 years and we would have our phones near by to be able to call if anything goes wrong. This applied to logic as I wouldn’t drown and if anything was wrong that we would have a discourse to get help. She argued that it didn’t seem safe either way and that we were still in quarantine. I ended up going to the swing.

On friday texas reopened and let the stay at home order expire. Many are saying that this is preemptive and that opening too early could just extend the quarantine and cause an even larger local outbreak. They argue that until the virus in completely under control and we can definitively say that it cannot spread anymore, we should remain in the stay at home order. Others argue that the stay at home order was already effective and that new cases will stay down. They believe that the economy needs to rebound now and that prolonging the shutdown will just drive the economy further down.
